**Romanian Embassy and Foundation University Islamabad Discuss Enhanced Academic Collaboration**
The Embassy of Romania in Pakistan recently hosted a delegation from Foundation University Islamabad (FUI), led by Rector Major-General (Ret.) Muhammad Kaleem Asif, HI (M), to explore avenues for deepening academic cooperation between the two institutions. The meeting focused on identifying promising areas for collaboration, with both sides expressing commitment to advancing educational and cultural ties.
During the discussions, the Romanian delegation expressed particular appreciation for the creative works and research conducted by students from FUI’s Faculty of Arts, especially those focusing on Romania. The acknowledgment underscored the growing interest and understanding of Romanian culture among Pakistani academia.
The talks were further enriched by the presence of Zaildar Ahsan Shah, President of the Romania–Pakistan Friendship Association, who highlighted the robust cultural connections between the two countries. His contributions emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and partnership in fostering mutual understanding.
Dr. Dan Stoenescu, the Ambassador of Romania to Pakistan, played a pivotal role in facilitating the meeting. As the official envoy, Dr. Stoenescu reiterated the embassy’s support for expanding educational linkages and promoting people-to-people contact between Romania and Pakistan.
