In a notable development for the pharmaceutical sector, Usman Shaukat, President of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and CEO of Bio-Labs Islamabad, has been elected Chairman of the Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association (North Zone) for the 2025–2026 term.
The election took place during the 60th Annual General Meeting of PPMA (North Zone) on October 8, 2025, at Faletti’s Hotel in Lahore. Members present highlighted the importance of strong industry representation, and the result was welcomed as an opportunity to bring Rawalpindi’s business concerns to the forefront.
As Chairman, Usman Shaukat is expected to prioritise engagement with stakeholders and work to ensure that the voices of Rawalpindi’s business community and RCCI members are heard and their concerns addressed effectively across regulatory and commercial forums.
