CPDI convened Day 2 of the CNBA–Punjab Annual Planning and Review Meeting in Lahore where partner organisations reflected on the previous year’s progress, shared key achievements and surfaced challenges affecting budget accountability and citizen participation across the province.

The session, facilitated by Mr. Faisal Munir alongside CNBA partners, opened space for candid discussion on practical strategies to strengthen budget accountability within provincial planning and service delivery. Participants explored methods to deepen citizen engagement and ensure inclusive budgeting processes reach diverse communities across Punjab.

Discussions then turned to operational planning for the year ahead, with partners coordinating on upcoming activities, timelines and joint monitoring to improve alignment and collective impact. Emphasis remained on translating review findings into targeted actions that enhance budget accountability and broaden participatory decision making at local levels.

The meeting concluded with a group photo and a networking lunch that reinforced the shared commitment of member organisations to promote transparent, participatory and inclusive budget practices provincewide. Partners left the session with clearer coordination plans and renewed momentum to push for stronger budget accountability across Punjab.
