Rawalpindi Rally Backs Armed Forces on Mar’ka-e-Haq Year

A large, well-organized rally in Rawalpindi brought together the Rawalpindi Restaurant Caterers, Sweet & Bakers Association, the wider trader community and district administration to express solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces on the first anniversary of Mar’ka-e-Haq.

The Rawalpindi rally drew traders, business figures and representatives of various associations from across the city, with notable attendance by Additional Deputy Commissioner General Maliha Sehr, Deputy Director Environment Rawalpindi Sadia Batool, and Senior Vice President Zahid Mehmood. Organizers said the event aimed to pay tribute to the sacrifices of the armed forces and to demonstrate national unity.

The procession began at Food Street and concluded at Double Road, with participants carrying national flags, banners and placards bearing patriotic slogans. The atmosphere remained charged with chants of Pakistan Zindabad and calls of support for the armed forces, reflecting a collective display of resolve and respect.

President Muhammad Farooq Chaudhry underlined the central message of the rally, saying the Pakistan Armed Forces have made unparalleled sacrifices for the country’s security, sovereignty and peace. He described the Mar’ka-e-Haq success as a manifestation of national unity and professional excellence and praised the continued role of service members in safeguarding public life.

Chairman Mumtaz Ahmed and other speakers commended the leadership of Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, stating that under his command the armed forces confronted enemy designs and national challenges with determination and professionalism. Their remarks were met with strong approval from the gathering.

Speakers stressed that the trader community is a backbone of the economy and reaffirmed its willingness to stand shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces in times of national need. They emphasized that security provided by the forces enables ongoing economic and business activities across the city and the country.

At the conclusion of the rally special prayers were offered for the security, progress and prosperity of the nation. Participants reaffirmed their resolve that no compromise will be made on the defense of the homeland and that national interests will be safeguarded at all levels.
