Civil and Health Academies Launch Leadership Training
The Director Training of Civil Services Academy Lahore, Dr Shabbir Zaidi, visited Health Services Academy in Islamabad and met with Vice Chancellor Dr Shehzad Ali Khan to discuss a new collaboration focused on leadership training for government officers.
During the meeting, both leaders explored practical steps to design joint training programs aimed at senior officials in the health and education sectors. Dr Shehzad Ali Khan highlighted ongoing educational and training initiatives at the Health Services Academy and stressed that modern, skills-based leadership training is essential for stronger governance in health and education.
Dr Shabbir Zaidi shared the Civil Services Academy Lahore’s experience in delivering courses on leadership, management and public policy, underscoring how those programs have supported administrative efficiency. The exchange of best practices centered on curriculum design, experiential learning, and measurable outcomes to raise the capacity of public servants.
The two institutions agreed to launch combined leadership and management courses in the near future for senior officers from health and education departments. The planned collaboration seeks to improve policy making and administrative performance across provincial and federal levels through targeted leadership training and joint capacity building.
