Rawalpindi Enforces Vehicle Tint Ban Across District
Chief Traffic Officer Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam has ordered strict action across the district against vehicles fitted with black or colored papers on windows. On 19 October 2025 he directed traffic teams to remove prohibited coverings and make immediate arrests where necessary to enforce the vehicle tint ban.
The decision was taken on security grounds to ensure public safety and maintain law and order. Authorities have made it clear there is no legal allowance for black or colored paper on vehicle windows and no excuses will be accepted from vehicle owners.
Zero tolerance enforcement will be implemented citywide, with teams instructed to remove any dark or colored paper and initiate legal proceedings without discrimination. The CTO said this step is necessary to improve visibility for enforcement personnel and to support uninterrupted traffic flow.
Motorists are urged to comply with traffic regulations to avoid penalties. The traffic office appealed to citizens to cooperate with the enforcement drive and demonstrate responsible behavior to help maintain secure and orderly roads across Rawalpindi.
