Advancing Climate Diplomacy Through Youth Action
The International Islamic University Islamabad partnered with the Center for Climate Diplomacy at COPAIR to host a seminar on Climate Diplomacy and Climate Cooperation at the IIUI campus, bringing together youth climate ambassadors for an interactive exchange on Pakistan’s role in global climate efforts.
Participants engaged in dialogue to strengthen youth-led climate advocacy and to develop practical approaches for advancing Pakistan’s climate diplomacy. The session explored ways to enhance regional collaboration, align domestic priorities with international negotiation objectives, and promote youth-driven initiatives that support resilient development across the region.
The collaboration between IIUI and COPAIR underscored a shared commitment to empower emerging leaders and to bridge academic insight with diplomatic practice. By centring young ambassadors in discussions on climate cooperation, the seminar aimed to build capacity for sustained climate action and more effective representation of Pakistan in international forums.
