The AIMS Sports Gala 2025 in Islamabad unfolded as a lively celebration of youth, with students taking part in competitive and traditional games under enthusiastic crowds. The event was organised by CEO Imtiaz Ali Rizvi and featured Syed Zeeshan Ali Naqvi as the chief guest in his capacity as focal person for the Prime Minister Youth Programme and president of the Pakistan Council for Tradition Sports and Games.

The ceremony began with a ceremonial torch lighting by Syed Zeeshan Ali Naqvi, after which students competed in a range of events including Pathu Garm, Bante, football, tug-of-war, sprint races and other traditional sports. A spirited group parade added color to the programme and the grounds echoed with chants of “Pakistan Zindabad”.

Commenting on the occasion, Syed Zeeshan Ali Naqvi said, “I am very happy to be here. Meeting the children and seeing the institution’s environment has lifted my spirits. Around 450 students study here and this level of organisation is truly commendable.” The guest underlined the role of extracurricular activities in shaping well-rounded students.

He added, “This institution not only excels academically but also provides excellent opportunities through sports and other activities. These children are the future of Pakistan and will bring honour to the nation. The Prime Minister Youth Programme aims to give every child a full chance to progress.” His remarks highlighted the link between grassroots sports initiatives and youth development.
