Tackling Pollen Allergy with Free Health Camp
The District Health Office Islamabad organised a free medical camp at the community centre in G-6 Abpara to diagnose and treat Pollen Allergy, providing timely care and public guidance to city residents. The event aimed to increase awareness about seasonal allergies while offering diagnostic tests, medicines and professional advice under the supervision of expert doctors and trained medical staff.
At the camp, citizens received allergy testing, free medication and medical counselling to help identify Pollen Allergy symptoms such as sneezing, a runny nose, itchy or watery eyes and difficulty breathing. More than 700 residents were examined and given the necessary treatment and guidance to manage their symptoms effectively.
Medical teams emphasised practical precautions for the pollen season, advising people to avoid unnecessary outdoor exposure, wear masks, protect their eyes and seek prompt attention at a health centre if symptoms develop. Staff provided clear instructions on recognising warning signs and on how to reduce exposure at home and outdoors.
Dr Syeda Rashida Batool, District Health Officer Islamabad, said the office is continuing efforts to raise awareness about seasonal allergies and to ensure citizens have access to quality care and timely diagnosis. She urged residents to follow preventive measures and to visit nearby health centres if they experience any allergic symptoms.
Attendees praised the free services and awareness initiatives, expressing gratitude to the Ministry of National Health and the District Health Office Islamabad for making diagnosis and treatment accessible to the community during the pollen season.
