Driving Digital Security Through Youth Innovation

At Islamabad’s first-ever National Dialogue on Women, Peace, and Security, Programmes Lead Anam Baloch represented the Digital Rights Foundation on a panel focused on Youth Driving Digital Innovation and Climate Peace hosted by NACTA and UN Women in collaboration with NCSW. She outlined the role of young technologists and activists in shaping safer online spaces across Pakistan.

Baloch highlighted DRF’s Digital Security Helpline and the HamaraInternet project as concrete measures to strengthen Digital Security and support vulnerable users. She described these initiatives as part of DRF’s ongoing commitment to build accessible tools and responses that protect citizens navigating digital risks.

The discussion linked youth-led innovation to broader peacebuilding efforts, arguing that technology-focused empowerment can reinforce resilience against online harms and climate-related vulnerabilities. DRF emphasized collaboration with government and civil society to scale digital protection services for diverse communities in Pakistan.
