Teachers Mission to Build Pakistan’s Future

Federal Minister Professor Ahsan Iqbal addressed teachers across the country, stressing that the work of educators begins in the classroom and shapes the nation’s destiny. He described teachers as the true architects of Pakistan’s future and urged them to embrace their role with purpose.

Professor Iqbal emphasized that teaching is not merely a profession but a mission, explaining that students’ identities, character, critical thinking and creative abilities develop under a teacher’s guidance. He urged instructors to prioritize mentorship and to cultivate environments where young minds can grow.

Linking education to cultural roots, he called on teachers to connect children with Urdu, the poetry and philosophy of Allama Iqbal and Pakistan’s broader cultural heritage, saying this is a fundamental responsibility in shaping informed and proud citizens.

Looking ahead to the challenges of the next century, Professor Iqbal warned that future competition will be won by intellectual strength rather than physical power. Schools must therefore nurture curiosity, questioning and cooperative learning so students develop the mental tools needed for leadership.

With a view to 2047, when today’s students will assume national leadership, he stressed that if teachers commit to training and guiding young minds, Pakistan can stand before the world with confidence, innovation and unity. The focus on the teachers mission remains central to that vision.
