Advancing Digital Pakistan Through New IsDB Partnership
Federal Minister for IT and Telecom Shaza Fatima Khawaja met with a delegation from the Islamic Development Bank on the sidelines of the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Doha to discuss strengthened collaboration for Digital Pakistan.
The talks focused on Pakistan’s digital development and technology-led economic growth, underscoring the role of connectivity, inclusivity and innovation in driving national progress. Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja emphasized sustained efforts to expand access and foster new digital services as integral to the Digital Pakistan agenda.
Both sides agreed to explore new avenues for technical cooperation and targeted investment to accelerate projects under the Digital Nation Pakistan vision. The discussions highlighted practical steps to mobilize IsDB expertise and resources toward scalable connectivity and capacity building initiatives in Pakistan.
The meeting set a clear mandate for follow-up work to convert commitments into joint initiatives, with Pakistani and IsDB teams tasked to develop project roadmaps and investment frameworks that support long-term digital transformation across the country.
