Strengthening Qatar Charity Pakistan Partnership
Officials from Pakistan and Qatar met in Doha on November 27, 2025 to discuss ways to broaden cooperation under the banner of Qatar Charity Pakistan, with a focus on education, vocational training and community resilience.
H.E. Ms. Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, met with Mr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Charity, at the organisation’s Doha headquarters to review ongoing work in Pakistan and identify opportunities for deeper impact.
The conversation emphasised expanding access to quality education through school rehabilitation and teacher development, while aligning vocational and technical training programmes to improve youth employability in Pakistan’s underserved regions.
Both sides highlighted Qatar Charity’s track record in emergency response, school infrastructure and poverty alleviation in Pakistan, and discussed applying global expertise to pilot innovative humanitarian and development models that are climate resilient and community centred.
Plans under consideration include strengthened project-level coordination, enhanced information sharing and exploring public private partnerships to scale interventions where they are most needed, particularly in areas vulnerable to climate and economic shocks.
Ms. Qamar expressed appreciation for Qatar Charity’s sustained support and reaffirmed the Government of Pakistan’s commitment to collaborate on sustainable, community-focused initiatives that advance education and social protection across the country.
