Adventure Foundation Pakistan Elects New Council
Islamabad, December 9, 2025 — Adventure Foundation Pakistan held its Annual General Meeting at the Adventure Complex in Islamabad where the general body elected a new Council to lead AFP’s programmes and outreach for the coming term.
The meeting, chaired by outgoing President Ali Hasan Habib, began with an acknowledgement of the contributions made by members and volunteers. The minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting of October 26, 2024 were presented and approved, providing continuity as the new Council takes charge.
A performance review covering July 2024 to June 2025 outlined progress in outdoor education, adventure learning, youth engagement and environmental responsibility. The audited financial statements for the financial year 2024–25 were presented and unanimously approved by the general body, reinforcing transparency in AFP’s operations.
The proposed activity plan for 2025–26 was discussed with a recommendation to include additional winter programmes to broaden seasonal training and participation. The agenda reflected AFP’s ongoing focus on safe, responsible and educational outdoor activities as part of its mission to develop leadership and environmental stewardship among young people.
The general body elected the following office bearers: Syed Abu Ahmad Akif as President; Col (R) Abbas Hussain Naqvi, Dr. Adnan Latif and Ms. Jahan Ara Mueen as Vice Presidents; and Brig (R) Ghulam Haider as Honorary Secretary (Public Relations). Council members elected include Dr. Tasnim Azim, Azal Zahir, Bushra Javed, Rab Nawaz and Huma Mustafa.
Following the election, outgoing President Ali Hasan Habib administered the oath of office to the newly elected Council members. The meeting closed with gratitude for the outgoing Council and a reaffirmation of Adventure Foundation Pakistan’s commitment to promoting inclusive adventure culture, youth leadership development and environmentally responsible outdoor learning across Pakistan.
