Strengthening ADB Pakistan Health Partnership

A high-level delegation from the Asian Development Bank held a substantive meeting with Federal Minister for Health Mustafa Kamal to discuss expanding cooperation across multiple sectors, with particular emphasis on the JFPR nursing project.

The visiting team briefed the minister on its priority areas and reiterated ADB Pakistan’s commitment to deepening partnership with the Government of Pakistan to support health sector objectives and capacity building.

As part of the renewed collaboration, ADB Pakistan announced support to strengthen governance in nursing, accelerate digitalization of nursing services and records, and enhance training and workforce capacity to improve service delivery at the facility level.

The delegation also expressed interest in exploring new areas for future cooperation that align with Pakistan’s health priorities. Minister Mustafa Kamal welcomed the proposals and lauded ADB’s ongoing role in supporting improvements across the country’s health sector.
