Islamabad Plot Auction Sees Strong Bids
The public auction of residential and commercial plots in the Federal Capital continued on the second day at the Jinnah Convention Centre, with the Islamabad plot auction generating robust interest and a cumulative PKR 14.809 billion in the first two days. The process is being overseen by the chairman of the Auction Committee, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, alongside other committee members.
On day two, Plot No. 12 in Sector D-12 Markaz fetched PKR 1.04 billion while Plot No. 284-A in Sector F-10/3 was sold for PKR 24.60 crore, bringing the second day’s total to approximately PKR 1.28 billion. The Islamabad plot auction continued to draw high-value bids across categories.
Earlier on the first day, high-profile parcels in the Blue Area attracted substantial offers: Plot No. 15 in the Blue Area (F-8/G-8) was auctioned for PKR 3.52 billion and Plot No. 17 in the Blue Area (F-8/G-8) fetched PKR 9.15 billion. In the Orchards Scheme on Murree Road, Plot No. 37-C sold for PKR 42.20 crore and Plot No. 37-D for PKR 42 crore.
The auction will continue until 24 December at the Jinnah Convention Centre, offering plots across residential and commercial categories for investors. To encourage participation, the CDA is providing several investor-friendly measures: an additional 5% discount for commercial plot payments in US dollars, a 5% discount for lump-sum payments made within 30 days of bid approval, building plan approval after an initial 25% payment, and plot possession upon 75% payment. All received bids will be thoroughly scrutinized and then presented to the CDA Board for final approval or rejection.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa said proceeds from the Islamabad plot auction will be allocated to the construction, development and beautification of the Federal Capital. The sale underscores continued investor appetite for prime Islamabad real estate and the CDA’s focus on using auction revenue for city development.
