Pakistan Embassy Marks Kashmir Solidarity in Moscow
A ceremony at the Embassy of Pakistan in Moscow brought together members of the Pakistani diaspora, the business community and media representatives to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day and express support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Messages from the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan were read aloud to participants during the event.
Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi told the gathering that the Kashmir issue remains the longest unresolved dispute before the United Nations Security Council. He emphasized that the dispute hinders regional integration and noted that its resolution would align with broader connectivity projects such as President Putin’s vision for the North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC), bringing benefits to the entire region.
The ceremony concluded with a documentary screening and a photo exhibition depicting alleged atrocities committed by Indian forces in IIOJK, presentations that reinforced the purpose of Kashmir Solidarity Day and highlighted the humanitarian aspects of the dispute.
Attendees from diverse sectors observed the programme and the exhibits, underlining Pakistan’s continued diplomatic focus on the IIOJK issue and the role of overseas communities in keeping Kashmir Solidarity visible on international forums.
