Enhancing Islamabad Healthcare at Police Dispensary

Dr. Syeda Rashida Batool, District Health Officer Islamabad, visited Fatima Memorial Dispensary at Police Lines Headquarters in Islamabad accompanied by Mr. Abdul Haque Umrani, AIG Logistics. The visit highlights continued efforts to strengthen Islamabad healthcare through closer coordination between health authorities and law enforcement medical services.

The District Health Officer commended Islamabad Capital Police for their initiatives to improve service delivery and enhance healthcare services at the dispensary, noting the importance of accessible care for police personnel and the surrounding community. Her observations focused on practical improvements that can make primary care more responsive and efficient.

Discussions during the visit centered on opportunities for collaboration in EPI, dengue control, and capacity-building trainings to support healthcare initiatives. Both sides explored how joint programs could boost immunization coverage, reinforce dengue prevention measures and build local clinical and outreach capacity.

Officials indicated that planned cooperation between the District Health Office and the Islamabad Capital Police aims to translate these discussions into concrete steps that strengthen routine services and emergency preparedness, reinforcing Islamabad healthcare across the city.
