Sajid Sadpara Inspires at Lady Reading Hospital
Sajid Ali Sadpara visited Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar accompanied by alpine photographer Khalid Mehmood, bringing mountaineering stories and a visual documentary to the hospital community.
Khalid Mehmood presented his documentary on Snow Lake, offering attendees a close look at remote glacial landscapes and the logistics of high-altitude photography. The screening provided a visual complement to the personal accounts shared during the visit.
Sajid Sadpara recounted his experiences of climbing nine of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks, speaking about the physical demands, preparation and resolve required for such expeditions. His reflections resonated with medical staff, trainees and visitors present at LRH.
The Dean of Lady Reading Hospital highlighted the institution’s rich centennial history during the visit, noting how events like this connect civic institutions with Pakistan’s mountaineering and adventure community.
The meeting underscored the value of bringing exploration narratives into public spaces in Peshawar, as Sajid Sadpara and Khalid Mehmood used the hospital visit to inspire and engage a local audience.
