Sindh Officers Visit Parliament House Islamabad
A 30-member delegation of Sindh government officers participated in a study visit to Parliament House Islamabad on 4 February 2026 as part of the third Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC) organized by the Training Management and Research Wing of the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department.
On arrival, officers from the Senate Secretariat received the delegation and provided a detailed briefing on the parliamentary system, the lawmaking process and the role of the upper house. The delegation was shown how plenary and committee proceedings are structured and briefed on parliamentary procedures that guide legislative work.
The group toured the Senate Museum where a documentary outlining Pakistan’s parliamentary journey and constitutional evolution was screened. The visit to the Gallery of the Constitution offered focused discussion on the importance of the constitution and core democratic values that underpin parliamentary institutions.
The delegation also visited the Senate Hall and received an overview of the conduct of sessions, lawmaking practices and the administrative workings of the Senate. The practical briefings aimed to give officers clearer insight into the functions and responsibilities that shape parliamentary business at Parliament House.
Participants commended the hospitality and thorough guidance provided by the Senate Secretariat and said such visits play a meaningful role in enhancing professional capabilities and deepening institutional understanding of Parliament House and its processes.
