Appeal for Restraint over Pak Afghan Ties
Deputy Chief Organizer of the Rising Pakistan Movement Rakhshanda Tasneem appealed to both sides to exercise patience amid the current border tensions, stressing that Afghanistan is an Islamic neighbour with historically important relations. She called for calm and restraint, saying the preservation of Pak Afghan ties is in the mutual interest of both countries.
Tasneem described the recent escalation as unacceptable and emphasised that good relations with neighbouring states are essential. At the same time she pointed to the security challenges Pakistan faces at home, noting that terrorist attacks have targeted our security forces, mosques and schools, and that the state must take necessary measures to safeguard citizens.
She reiterated that the people of Pakistan stand with their state and government in addressing threats while hoping for a peaceful and measured approach that protects national security without undermining long-term Pak Afghan ties. Tasneem urged continued dialogue and patience to reduce tensions and promote stability in the region.
