Pakistan Turkey Advance Agriculture Partnership
The Special Investment Facilitation Council played a central role in bringing Pakistan and Turkey together to deepen collaboration in agriculture and livestock through two Memoranda of Understanding signed between Türkiye’s Agricultural Technologies Cluster (TÜME) and Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC), and between TÜME and the Green Corporate Livestock Initiative (GCLI). This agriculture partnership is aligned with Pakistan’s push for investment facilitation and sectoral modernization.
The agreement between TÜME and PARC creates a formal framework for joint research, innovation and technology transfer, with practical focus on advanced livestock breeding, precision and smart agriculture, climate resilient farming methods, food processing and value addition. Capacity building and technical exchanges are core elements designed to accelerate adoption of agritech across Pakistani farms and research institutions.
The MoU between TÜME and GCLI targets modern corporate livestock farming, adoption of advanced production technologies and sustainable systems that support development of export oriented value chains. By promoting efficient, technology driven production and better market access, the partnership aims to raise productivity, competitiveness and rural incomes across Pakistan’s livestock sector.
The signings were witnessed by the National Coordinator of SIFC, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries, the Ambassador of Türkiye to Pakistan and senior officials from the Ministry of National Food Security & Research, PARC, GCLI and TÜME. The engagement underscores SIFC’s facilitative role in enabling institutional coordination, accelerating cross border partnerships and fostering an investor friendly ecosystem to deliver tangible benefits from this agriculture partnership for Pakistan’s farmers and agribusinesses.
