John Kiser Promotes Interfaith Dialogue at IRS
John Kiser visited the Institute of Regional Studies in Islamabad and engaged with researchers and scholars on themes of moral courage, ethical leadership and interfaith harmony. The visit opened a platform for candid conversation about values that bridge societies and inform responsible leadership.
Drawing on his extensive intellectual work, Mr. Kiser highlighted lessons from his book Commander of the Faithful, presenting Emir Abdelkader as an example of humanitarian values, spiritual depth and principled leadership amid conflict. His remarks underscored how historical models can inform contemporary approaches to coexistence and public ethics.
Ambassador Jauhar Saleem, President of the Institute, welcomed John Kiser and commended his scholarly contributions to promoting mutual respect across cultures.
