MNAs Shaista Jadun and Aasiya Tanoli Pay Tribute to Martyred Officers in Bannu
Security forces foiled an attempted suicide attack in Bannu after receiving credible intelligence about militant presence, leading to an exchange of fire in which five terrorists were eliminated. Despite the successful operation, Lieutenant Colonel Shehzada Gulfraz, 43, of District Mansehra, and Sepoy Karamat Shah, 28, of District Peshawar, embraced martyrdom while defending the nation during the Bannu attack.
Dr. Shaista Khan Jadun and MNA Aasiya Naz Tanoli strongly condemned the cowardly assault, describing it as a heinous act aimed at destabilizing Pakistan and undermining national peace. They paid tribute to the courage, professionalism and sacrifice of the fallen soldiers and said the martyrs’ sacrifice underlines the armed forces’ unwavering commitment to protect the country from terrorism.
The MNAs extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and offered prayers for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and for patience and strength for their loved ones. They emphasized that such attacks will not weaken the resolve of the Pakistani nation and that timely, decisive responses by security forces during the Bannu attack prevented greater destruction.
Both leaders reaffirmed their support for ongoing counterterrorism efforts under Azm-e-Istehkam and stated that operations against militancy will continue with full force until complete peace and stability are restored. They underscored that terrorist elements operating against Pakistan will never succeed in their malicious designs and affirmed that the entire nation stands united with its armed forces in the fight to eradicate extremism and safeguard sovereignty.
