Membership Renewal Deadline Extended for Trade Bodies

The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry President Atif Ikram Sheikh and SM Tanvir, Patron in Chief of United Business Group, welcomed the Director General Trade Organizations decision to extend the membership renewal deadline for trade bodies nationwide by three weeks. The extension sets the new deadline at 20 April 2026, giving chambers and associations additional time to complete renewal formalities.

Originally scheduled for 31 March 2026, the membership renewal timeline presented challenges for many organisations. FPCCI formally requested an extension citing reduced working hours during the holy month of Ramadan and the subsequent Eid holidays, which limited staff availability and slowed administrative processes.

Acting on behalf of FPCCI, Vice President Tariq Jadoon Khan together with Karim Aziz Malik, Chairman Capital House, and Malik Sohail Hussain, Chairman Coordination FPCCI and President Hafizabad Chamber, actively followed up with authorities to secure the notification from the DG Trade Organizations. Their coordination helped make the extension possible.

Mr Atif Ikram Sheikh and SM Tanvir expressed appreciation for the DGTO’s prompt review and personal attention, saying the membership renewal extension will provide meaningful relief to chambers and associations and facilitate smoother registration and compliance across the business community.

The FPCCI leadership reiterated its commitment to protecting the interests of Pakistan’s private sector and said the additional time will enable trade bodies to finalise renewals and continue supporting their members effectively.
