RPO Rawalpindi Babar Sarfraz Alpa convened an open court at the regional police office to hear petitions and grievances from citizens across the region. The session aimed to provide immediate access to justice and direct responses on police-related issues.
Residents from Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal and Murree presented their complaints and requests in person. The RPO reviewed each submission and instructed relevant officers to take action in accordance with the law, with explicit orders to submit progress reports within a specified timeframe.
Framing the initiative within the Chief Minister Punjab’s vision for accessible justice, the RPO said open courts will continue on a routine basis to ensure timely redress of public concerns. He emphasized that police complaints must be resolved promptly and that officers should treat these matters as a priority to elevate public service delivery standards.
The regional spokesperson for the RPO office confirmed that the instruction to address citizens’ grievances on a priority basis is in effect and that follow-up reports will be monitored to ensure compliance and accountability.
