MAAP Oath Strengthens Japan Pakistan Tech Links

The Oath Taking Ceremony of the Monbukagakusho Alumni Association of Pakistan (MAAP) was held at FAST University Islamabad on 28 April 2026, where newly elected executive members formalised their responsibilities.

Ambassador Akamatsu Shuichi, Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan and Patron in Chief of MAAP, administered the oaths to the new executive team. The MAAP oath ceremony underscored the association’s role as a vital bridge between Japan and Pakistan, and the Ambassador conveyed his best wishes to the organisation’s leadership.

The Ambassador emphasised that continued collaboration with the Embassy can facilitate progress in IT and AI and in education through joint research, innovation and people-to-people exchanges. The MAAP oath marks a renewed commitment to strengthening ties that support Pakistani alumni, researchers and institutions collaborating with Japanese partners.
