UK Community Unites for Marka-e-Haq Anniversary

The Pakistan High Commission in London marked the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq with a ceremony attended by British parliamentarians, Pakistan-origin councillors, business leaders, High Commission officers, media representatives and prominent members of the Pakistani diaspora in the UK.

In his keynote address, Acting High Commissioner Haseeb bin Aziz paid tribute to the Armed Forces, saying their courage, unwavering resolve and professionalism upheld the dignity of the national flag. He highlighted Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos as a swift, decisive and precise response that showcased Pakistan’s operational excellence and earned international recognition, and he commended the diaspora for acting as true ambassadors of Pakistan in defending the homeland.

Defence and Naval Adviser Commodore Jawad Khawaja SI(M) SBt and Army and Air Adviser Colonel Mohsin Waqar emphasized the exemplary unity of Pakistan’s defence forces, noting how coordinated action during Marka-e-Haq thwarted nefarious designs and protected the country’s sovereignty.

Minister (Press) Ali Nawaz Malik briefed the audience on measures taken by the High Commission to keep British media well informed during Marka-e-Haq, presenting Pakistan’s firm and principled stance to counter false narratives propagated by India.

Representatives of the Pakistani community in the UK paid glowing tributes to the Armed Forces, political leadership and the nation for standing resolute during Marka-e-Haq, and attendees pledged that the commemoration will continue to unite citizens and contribute to a stronger, more resilient Pakistan.
