HEC Recognises Ayesha Humayun Globally

Sheikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute has announced that its Chairperson and Dean, Professor Dr Ayesha Humayun, has been recognised by HEC Pakistan among the global Top 2% Scientists, a distinction that highlights her sustained contributions to medical science and education.

The honour was presented during a ceremony at the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology, University of the Punjab, Lahore, where HEC assembled leading academics to acknowledge outstanding research performance. Professor Dr Ayesha Humayun received a certificate marking her inclusion in the global list, reflecting both individual achievement and institutional pride for SZPGMI.

Professor Dr Ayesha Humayun has long emphasised that medical research must translate into better patient care and improved quality of life. At the event she reiterated this commitment, urging that scholarly work move beyond publications to deliver practical benefits for patients and to strengthen healthcare delivery across Pakistan.
