Minister Announces Relief After G7 Gas Explosion
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, visited the G7 home affected by a gas explosion in Islamabad and spoke to the media about immediate relief measures.
The minister announced that families of those who died in the incident will receive PKR 500,000 each, while injured persons will be given PKR 50,000 per person from the ministry. He said he will also provide personal financial assistance from his special fund to the orphaned girl’s dowry.
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf described the G7 gas explosion as a great shock and expressed deep sorrow for the victims. He noted that the event has underscored the deadly consequences of negligence and the urgent need for stronger safety measures.
Officials from the ministry accompanied the minister and he said that Dr Tariq Fazl Choudhary, Khail Das Kohistani and the Chairman of the CDA had also visited the site earlier. He confirmed that all relevant details of the incident will be presented to the Prime Minister.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony will assist in whatever ways possible, including directives for reconstruction of the affected area and coordination of official support. An awareness campaign aimed at preventing similar incidents will be launched to stress gas safety and precautionary measures.
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf emphasized national unity in the aftermath of the G7 gas explosion, noting that the tragedy affected people from different faiths and social groups and that collective solidarity is the nation’s true strength.
