Punjab Green Credit Program PC-I Revision Meeting Highlights

A high-level meeting was held to review and refine the proposed revisions for the Punjab Green Credit Program, an initiative under the Annual Development Programme (ADP) aimed at promoting environmental sustainability in the region. The session was led by Ms. Silwat Saeed, Secretary of the Environment Protection & Climate Change Department (EP&CCD), and brought together key officials involved in the project.
During the meeting, the participants, including the Project Director of the Special Project & Implementation Unit (SP&IU), the Additional Secretary (Technical), and the Team Lead of the Green Credit Program, engaged in detailed discussions about the project’s direction. The group examined various aspects of the program, focusing on improving project components, optimizing the budget allocation, and enhancing the mechanisms for implementing the scheme effectively.
The deliberations are part of ongoing efforts to ensure that the Punjab Green Credit Program is structured efficiently to achieve its environmental goals and support the province’s broader sustainability agenda. The revised approach aims to streamline resources and strengthen oversight, ensuring successful delivery of the program’s benefits to the community.
