Motorway Police Guide on Road Safety and Safe Driving Tips

The National Highways and Motorway Police organized a road safety session at a private hotel in Lahore, aiming to raise public awareness about safe driving practices. The event focused on educating participants about key safety measures and responsible behavior on roads to help prevent accidents.

During the session, motorway police officers briefed attendees on the importance of wearing seat belts while driving, highlighting how this simple measure could save lives in the event of an accident. Participants were also cautioned against driving in a drowsy state, as fatigue can significantly impair reaction times and increase the likelihood of collisions.

The session emphasized the dangers of overspeeding and urged drivers to adhere to prescribed speed limits to ensure their own safety as well as that of others on the road. Moreover, the use of safety helmets for motorcyclists was stressed as an essential precaution to reduce the risk of serious injury.

Officers also discussed a range of other precautionary measures, encouraging motorists to adopt responsible driving habits at all times. By promoting awareness and responsible behavior, the National Highways and Motorway Police aim to make the country’s roads safer for everyone.
