PPAF and Sindh Advance Social Protection Efforts

The Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) is seeking stronger collaboration with the Sindh government to support social protection initiatives across the province. This was discussed in a meeting between PPAF Chief Executive Officer Nadir Gul Barech and Sarfraz Rajar, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh on Social Protection.
During the meeting, Mr. Barech outlined the scope of PPAF’s work throughout Pakistan, placing particular emphasis on current projects in Sindh aimed at improving the lives of underprivileged communities. Mr. Rajar praised the effectiveness of PPAF’s interventions, describing them as a valuable contribution to the welfare of Sindh’s residents.
Both officials identified significant alignment between the goals of the Sindh Social Protection Department and the mission of PPAF. Mr. Rajar expressed his interest in deepening cooperation with the organization in the future.
The discussion also touched on preparations for the upcoming fourth cycle of the GRASP Cheque Distribution and “Show & Tell” events, which are designed to further promote economic empowerment and social support for vulnerable populations in the province.
