Suleman Law Delegation Visits Parliament House
On 9 February 2026 a 50-member delegation from Suleman Law Associates visited Parliament House in Islamabad where officials from the Senate Secretariat received and welcomed the group.
During a guided tour of the Senate Museum, Senator Fouzia Arshad provided a detailed briefing on the upper house’s workings, the legislative process, the election of senators, the role of standing committees and the Senate’s constitutional functions. She highlighted how the Senate operates as a symbol of federation and how parliamentary procedures advance solutions to public concerns.
The delegation watched a documentary on the history of the upper house and showed special interest in the statues and historical photographs displayed in the museum. Members also visited the Senate Hall to observe a live session, where Senate officials offered further explanation of parliamentary traditions and procedural practice. The group was escorted to the Gali-e-Dastoor for additional context on Pakistan’s parliamentary history and democratic evolution.
Delegates concluded the Parliament House visit with a group photograph alongside Senator Fouzia Arshad and expressed appreciation for the Senate Secretariat’s role in promoting democratic values, institutional transparency and a stronger parliamentary system. Participants described the visit as highly informative and thanked the Secretariat for its guidance and cooperation.
