PEIRA Launches First e-Registration Certificate
On March 17, 2026, the Islamabad Capital Territory Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority completed the automation of its schools registration system and issued its first fully digital e-Registration Certificate, marking a major step in the territory’s digital reforms for education.
The new e-Registration platform enables private educational institutions to apply, track and receive approvals entirely online, eliminating the need for physical visits. By converting registration and renewals to a 100% online process, the system is designed to save time, reduce costs and strengthen transparency and accountability across Islamabad’s education sector.
Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, Chairman ICT-PEIRA, acknowledged the pivotal support of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training and credited the continuous encouragement from the Federal Minister and Federal Secretary for helping realise this milestone. He praised the dedication of the PEIRA team whose efforts made the automated e-Registration rollout possible.
Dr. Mallah reaffirmed that ICT-PEIRA will continue to introduce further reforms to reinforce its role as both regulator and facilitator, promoting quality education throughout the capital. The authority plans to build on the e-Registration foundation to improve service delivery and set new benchmarks in digital governance for school regulation in Islamabad.
