Palestine and Netherlands Discuss Diplomatic Cooperation and Support

Palestinian Foreign Minister Dr. Farsin Agabkian Shaheen met with the Dutch Ambassador to Palestine, Mr. Michel Rentnar, to discuss the current situation in Palestine and explore avenues for further cooperation. The meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, with Ambassador Adel Attia from the Directorate of European Affairs also in attendance.

Minister Shaheen highlighted the urgent need for European countries to recognize the State of Palestine in accordance with international law. He stressed the importance of solidifying a two-state solution and called for an end to the occupation and ongoing violence against the Palestinian people. The minister also urged the Netherlands to advocate for a reassessment of the Partnership Agreement between the European Union and Israel, which he described as the “Occupying State.” He praised the Netherlands for its ongoing support of various development projects that help strengthen the resilience of Palestinian communities.

Ambassador Rentnar reaffirmed the Netherlands’ commitment to supporting the people of Palestine. He emphasized the importance of continued political and developmental cooperation between the two countries. Both officials discussed ways to enhance bilateral ties and work together on initiatives that support the Palestinian population.

The meeting underscored the strong partnership between the Netherlands and Palestine, and reflected the ongoing international discussions around a peaceful and lasting resolution in the region.
