Embassy of Russia in Pakistan on Railways Cooperation

Russia’s ambassador to Pakistan, Albert P. Khorev, met with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Railways, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in the rail sector and improve regional connectivity. The meeting underlined both countries’ interest in expanding transport and trade links.

The delegation from the Russian side included Trade Representative to Pakistan Denis Nevzorov, who attended the discussions at the embassy. The talks focused on bilateral cooperation in the railways sector and opportunities to enhance connectivity across the region.

Officials explored potential avenues for collaboration that could support rail infrastructure, operations and cross-border transport links, reflecting a shared interest in using railways to facilitate trade and economic ties.
