Pakistan SME Exports to US Gain Consulate Support for Growth

Pakistan’s Consulate General in New York hosted a high-level trade delegation from Pakistan to promote exports by small and medium enterprises to the United States. Organized by the Global Trade and Expo Centre in Islamabad, the visit brought together entrepreneurs from multiple sectors and included remarks and assurances of support from Consul General Aamer Ahmed Atozai.
The delegation included business owners and representatives from food processing, footwear, information technology, surgical instruments, and beauty products. The visit aimed to explore market opportunities, establish commercial linkages, and familiarize Pakistani SMEs with the U.S. business environment.
Consul General Aamer Ahmed Atozai welcomed the delegation at the Consulate and emphasized the mission’s commitment to helping Pakistani businesses expand internationally. He highlighted the United States as a key trade partner for Pakistan, stressing that growth can be achieved through innovation, strategic partnerships, and by accessing new consumer markets.
In his remarks, the Consul General provided an overview of the U.S. economic landscape and identified emerging opportunities for Pakistani products in niche and high-demand segments. He encouraged delegates to position their brands to meet evolving U.S. consumer preferences and to pursue product differentiation where possible.
The Consulate assured the delegation of continued support in practical areas such as navigating regulatory requirements, facilitating business connections, and linking delegates with potential U.S. buyers and industry leaders. Officials emphasized the Consulate’s role in smoothing entry into the market and helping firms make informed decisions.
The visit forms part of a broader effort by the Consulate to strengthen Pakistan’s export potential and empower SMEs to engage more effectively with global markets. Delegates were encouraged to use the trip to forge strategic partnerships, participate in trade exhibitions, and deepen their understanding of the U.S. business ecosystem.
