Margalla Orchard Agreement Moves Forward
On 26 September 2025 the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority, DHA and the Supreme Court Bar Association formally signed a tri‑party development agreement for the Margalla Orchard Park Road housing scheme at Asifa Jahangir Auditorium in a private hotel in Islamabad’s sector G-5.
Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Federal Minister for Housing and Works, attended as guest of honour and extended congratulations to FGEHA officers, employees and the scheme allottees for this important step in the Margalla Orchard project.
Azam Nazir Tarar, Federal Minister for Law and Justice, also participated and described the agreement as a welcome and historic move for the legal community, offering his best wishes for the project’s future success.
A large turnout of lawyers witnessed the signing and praised the housing authority’s decision, calling the Margalla Orchard accord a positive development with far‑reaching implications for stakeholders.
Director General FGEHA Captain (R) Zafar Iqbal congratulated all allottees and stressed that the rights of federal employees who have already been allotted plots will remain protected. He reiterated FGEHA’s commitment to delivering quality and affordable housing and said the tri‑party agreement is a key milestone for Margalla Orchard. “We are confident that completion of this project will not only turn allottees’ dreams into reality but also promote quality residential facilities in Islamabad,” he said.
The Director General additionally announced that development work will shortly commence in sectors F-14 and F-15 as well as the Lifestyle Residency sector G-13. He described today’s agreement as an important operational step that will enable FGEHA to move ahead with Margalla Orchard and other forthcoming housing initiatives.
