Driving Youth Climate Action at LCOY Wageningen
Last weekend our team joined the national climate conversation at LCOY hosted at Wageningen University, bringing Youth Climate to the stage alongside LCOY Netherlands, KEY Netherlands, Wageningen University, YOUNGO UNFCCC, Youth for Climate NL and Jongeren Milieuraad.
We spoke with young leaders about why a justice-based approach is non-negotiable. Across workshops and panels the emphasis was on creating legal frameworks that protect the most vulnerable and on centering climate justice in policy discussions.
At our market stall we explained our purpose and celebrated the significant ICJAO win from July, using those dialogues to translate advocacy into concrete legal and strategic steps. The exchanges ranged from practical next steps to long-term coalition building.
The conversations and new connections are valuable for sustaining momentum and strengthening networks committed to Youth Climate priorities at national and international levels. We leave Wageningen energised and ready to keep pushing for justice-based legal protections.
