Pasban Watan Pakistan Calls for Restraint in Islamabad
Leaders of Pasban Watan Pakistan met at their central secretariat in Islamabad to examine the current political landscape and assess the security situation unfolding in the capital. The gathering focused on developments affecting public order and on measures needed to preserve calm while political activity continues in the city.
Delegates reviewed both domestic and international issues, expressing satisfaction over the recent release of people associated with the Global Solidarity Flotilla from Israeli custody. Pasban Watan Pakistan commended the participants from all countries and paid special tribute to former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed for his courageous actions representing Pakistan in the flotilla.
The leadership also evaluated preparations for steps to be taken this week, including the organisation of a party press conference as Pasban Watan Pakistan moves forward with its political agenda. Discussions covered coordination, messaging and the need to engage responsibly with the public and media.
Chairman Sheikh Mukhtar Ahmed urged both the federal and Punjab governments to exercise patience and restraint in responding to protests and processions in Islamabad, and appealed to demonstrators to act with prudence to help restore normalcy. The meeting emphasised the party’s commitment to maintaining peace and constructive political engagement as events evolve.
