Former Prime Minister and Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani visited the residence of Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah in Karachi on 18th October 2025. During the visit, Gillani inquired after Shah’s health, offered prayers for a swift recovery and exchanged memories of past events while discussing the current political situation and matters of mutual interest.
Following the meeting with Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, the Gillani visit continued to Junejo House where he met Member National Assembly Salahuddin Junejo. Gillani offered his condolences on the passing of former parliamentarian Roshan Deen Junejo, prayed for the departed soul and commended the late Junejo’s political service to the country.
The former prime minister’s stopovers in Karachi were part of a short programme that will see him attend the Central Executive Committee meeting of the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians at Bilawal House. The Gillani visit underscored party coordination ahead of the CEC gathering and provided an opportunity for private exchanges on party matters.
Accompanying Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani on his Karachi visit were Mr. Naveed Lakhani, Ahsma Soomro and Mir Mustafa Thahem, who joined him during both the call on Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah and the condolence visit to the Junejo family.
