Omar Ahmed Secures IMMAF Police Commission Role
Omar Ahmed has been elected Director for South Asia on the IMMAF Police Sports Commission and nominated for the IMMAF Sustainability Awards, giving Pakistan a direct voice in international MMA governance. His appointment to the IMMAF Police body links Pakistan with policing and law enforcement networks that aim to integrate combat-sport training into officer development and international exchanges.
Educated in London with dual master’s degrees in Strategic Communication and Security & Risk Management, Omar’s career spans security, sports and entrepreneurship. He founded Train2Secure, a major security contractor for the London Olympics, and later returned to Pakistan to lead Parwest Security, one of the country’s largest private security firms handling high-risk operations.
Through the Real Fight Project, Omar has promoted MMA as a tool for youth empowerment, leadership and mental resilience. That initiative is the basis for his nomination at the IMMAF Sustainability Awards in Georgia, recognising the social impact of using combat sports to address youth development and community wellbeing.
Omar’s IMMAF Police role also builds on his work delivering unarmed combat training to Pakistan’s Special Services Group and the National Police Academy, where MMA-based techniques were incorporated to strengthen physical readiness and psychological resilience. His leadership has bridged professional security standards with sports coaching to benefit both institutions and athletes.
He has personally financed and sponsored Pakistani fighters to attend Asian and World Championships, intervening to resolve visa and logistical challenges and negotiating with federations to secure participation. Under his guidance Pakistan won two medals at the IMMAF World Championships in Georgia despite travel restrictions, and his international network has opened doors for athletes to compete in Russia, Bahrain and the UAE, including a notable Pakistan versus India international bout.
With this IMMAF Police appointment, Omar Ahmed intends to expand pathways for Pakistani coaches, trainers and fighters, strengthen institutional ties with global policing bodies and develop a self-sustaining MMA ecosystem that delivers employment, discipline and national pride. His new role positions Pakistan for greater representation in the international MMA community and broader opportunities for domestic talent.
