Expanding Peshawar Meat Exports

On 5 November 2025 a Tdap Peshawar team of officers visited Hamza Halal Food on Budhni Road to review the factory’s export readiness and quality controls. The visit highlighted operational standards at the rural facility and signalled continued support for local exporters from regulatory authorities.

Hamza Halal Food has been exporting chilled and frozen beef and mutton since 2006 and operates as a committed small scale enterprise on the outskirts of Peshawar. The company has steadily maintained export activity despite challenges, positioning itself as a reliable supplier for international markets and contributing to the local economy.

Hamza Halal Food holds recognised certifications including ISO 22000:2018, ISO 9001:2015, HACPP Traceability and an International Halal Certificate, approvals that have enabled exports to the UAE, GCC countries and Iran. Over the past two decades the firm has shipped meat consignments to Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Iran, UAE, Bahrain and Oman and is now exploring additional markets such as Malaysia and Saudi Arabia.

The company’s modern slaughterhouse facilities on Budhni Road in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reinforce its capacity to scale shipments and meet international standards. Continued engagement between regulators and exporters is likely to support growth in Peshawar meat exports and open new trade opportunities for the region.
