Driving Rawalpindi Greening With Park Upgrades

Director General Punjab Horticulture Authority Naheed Gul Baloch visited Rawalpindi to review a series of beautification and public convenience projects led by Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi. During the visit she praised the agency’s efforts and set clear directions to accelerate Rawalpindi greening across city parks and key public areas.

Accompanied by the Managing Director of Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi, Naheed Gul Baloch inspected Adiala Park where Ahmed Hassan Ranjha briefed the delegation on ongoing upgradation work. The Director General carefully reviewed the beautification plans, discussed project details and emphasized higher standards for flower displays, plantings and overall landscape design to strengthen the Rawalpindi greening initiative.

The delegation proceeded to the magnificent park and Rawal Park in Dhok Munshi, where the focus shifted to improving public facilities. Naheed Gul Baloch instructed officials to enhance jogging tracks, upgrade children’s play areas and expand amenities that support daily recreational use. She stressed that parks must offer safe, accessible and attractive spaces for families and fitness enthusiasts alike.

Ahmed Hassan Ranjha provided detailed briefings on the agency’s citywide projects, including horticulture and infrastructure upgrades along Murree Road and other important locations. The Managing Director outlined current and planned interventions aimed at increasing green cover, improving walkways and ensuring maintenance frameworks are in place to sustain new works.

Commending Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi’s performance, the Director General urged faster and more effective implementation of all beautification and public convenience projects. She directed concerned authorities to prioritize citizen convenience and to introduce further enhancements that will make Rawalpindi a model green city.

At the Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi office, detailed discussions on future projects concluded the visit. The Managing Director reassured the Director General that HA Rawalpindi remains committed to providing better recreational facilities and expanding the green environment, with additional projects to be introduced in the months ahead to support the vision of Rawalpindi greening.
