Driving Human Rights Pakistan Agenda Forward

The Ministry of Human Rights, in partnership with UNDP Pakistan, marked International Human Rights Day at the Prime Minister’s House, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to the protection and promotion of human rights for all. The event underlined the importance of translating policy into practice as part of a national effort to advance Human Rights Pakistan priorities.

A distinguished gathering of ambassadors and diplomats, representatives of UN agencies, civil society organizations and international NGOs joined senior government officials in a shared resolve to strengthen dialogue and cooperation on human rights. Participants highlighted the need for sustained collaboration between state institutions and civil society to ensure rights are protected across everyday life.

Observed under the theme Human Rights: Our Everyday Essentials, the ceremony emphasized the centrality of rights in daily life and governance and called for policies and public engagement that embed human rights into routine decision making. The collaboration with UNDP Pakistan at the Prime Minister’s House signalled a coordinated approach to keeping Human Rights Pakistan at the forefront of national priorities.
