Palestinian Ambassador Visits National Press Club Islamabad

Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Zuhair Zahid, paid a courtesy visit to the National Press Club (NPC) in Islamabad, where he engaged with prominent members of the organization, underscoring the close bilateral ties and mutual support between Pakistan and Palestine. During the visit, the ambassador expressed gratitude for the warm reception and emphasized the importance of a strong Pakistan for the continued support of Palestine.
The ambassador met with NPC President Azhar Jatoi, Secretary Nayar Ali, Senior Vice President Ehtisham Haq, Vice President Syed Zafar Hashmi, Joint Secretary Javed Bhagat, along with other executive members including Naweed Ahmed Sheikh, Tanveer Shehzad, and Raja Majid Asghar. Secretary Nayar Ali briefed the distinguished guest about the activities and role of the National Press Club, highlighting its significance as a major media organization in Pakistan.
In his remarks, Dr. Zahid conveyed his appreciation for the invitation and lauded Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. He reaffirmed that a stable and strong Pakistan is essential for Palestine’s survival and expressed that Palestinians consider Pakistan as their second home. The ambassador also praised the deep-rooted and enduring relationship between the two nations, emphasizing the mutual love and support, especially regarding Pakistan’s assistance to oppressed Palestinians.
The visit also included a tour of the National Press Club facilities, allowing the Palestinian diplomat to familiarize himself with the organization’s work and ongoing initiatives. This engagement underscores the ongoing solidarity between Pakistan and Palestine and highlights the importance both place on diplomatic and cultural ties.
