Lions Clinch Tenpin Bowling League Crown
Islamabad saw an exciting finish to the Inter University Tenpin Bowling League 2026 as the Lions secured the title after a strong showing throughout the championship. The Lions finished on 651 points, while the Panthers took second with 612 points and the Scorpions completed the podium in third place.
The winning Lions team featured Daniyal Ijaz, Saad Rehman, Aahab, Mubashara Abbasi and Manahil Ikhlaq, whose combined performances proved decisive in clinching the trophy. The Panthers side was led by Rana Afzaal, Awais Ali, Mustafa Alvi, Maryam Tariq and Aima Zahra, who finished as worthy runners-up in a close contest. The Scorpions team included Ayzaz ur Rehman, Rayyan Shah, Anas Amjad, Zainab Tariq and Eshum Faheem and secured third position after a competitive series of matches.
At the concluding ceremony, Maqbool Arian, President of the Pakistan Students Olympic Association, served as chief guest and presented medals and certificates to the first, second and third place teams. Prominent officials who attended included Ijaz-ur-Rehman, President of the Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation, Ummah Liala, Secretary General of the Pakistan Catchball Federation, Rana Tanveer Ahmed, Secretary General of the Pakistan Students Olympic Association, and Fida Muhammad, President of the Mardan Students Olympic Association, along with a large gathering of students and supporters.
The championship was organized under the auspices of the Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation in collaboration with the Pakistan Students Olympic Association, highlighting growing interest in tenpin bowling at the university level across Pakistan. The event showcased emerging talent and reinforced the role of student competitions in developing the sport nationally.
