Enforcing Exam Integrity in Rawalpindi Boards
Under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision of visible transparency, Rawalpindi Board has stepped up measures to ensure exam integrity during the 2026 matriculation examinations. Acting on directives from the Chief Secretary and Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, a zero tolerance policy against cheating is being implemented across examination centres.
The board’s command and control centre maintains continuous online monitoring of exam proceedings while dedicated mobile teams conduct surprise inspections. Commissioner and Board Chairman Engineer Aamir Khattak has ordered a strict crackdown on cheating networks, with coordinated operations targeting the so-called copying mafia to protect the credibility of results.
Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan carried out inspections at several centres including Government Associate College for Women Police Station Road Saddar, Government Graduate Gordon College Rawalpindi, Government Islamia High School No.4 Liaquat Ali Road, Government Graduate College Asghar Mall Centers A and B, and Government Boys High School Sukho. During these visits, two candidates were caught red-handed copying at Government High School Kontrila and immediate action was taken.
Cases against those involved were registered on the spot and forwarded to the discipline branch for further proceedings. Officials stressed that strict adherence to exam SOPs is mandatory and that all available resources are being deployed to provide students with a fair, transparent and orderly testing environment. Exam integrity remains the board’s top priority throughout the examination period.
