Enforcing Exam Integrity with Zero Tolerance Policy
The ninth annual 2026 examinations conducted by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi are being held under a strict zero tolerance approach to safeguard exam integrity. Under directives from the Chief Secretary Punjab and the Provincial Minister for Education, the board has coordinated closely with district administrations and law enforcement to provide a secure and orderly environment for students across all centres.
Deputy Secretary Higher Education and Controller of Examinations Dr Saima Anwar carried out multiple inspections to review on-site arrangements, student facilities and adherence to the board’s standard operating procedures. Her visits focused on ensuring that seating plans, invigilator presence and security protocols were fully implemented to uphold exam integrity and fairness.
Tanveer Asghar Awan also toured a number of government examination centres, including schools and colleges in the Rawalpindi division, to monitor compliance with examination SOPs. He examined seating plans, staff attendance, exam discipline and security measures, issuing directives for immediate action in case of any irregularity and emphasizing professional training and clear division of responsibilities among exam staff.
Commissioner and the Chairman of the educational board maintain active oversight while a Command and Control Centre provides real-time online monitoring to detect and address issues instantly. These integrated measures—enhanced security, coordinated administration, targeted inspections and continuous monitoring—are being credited with reinforcing a transparent, merit-based and reliable exam process in the region.
